The purpose of this website is to provide visitors with free health information and a true insight into their own well-being, something that persuaded me after my mother passed away several years ago.

Many of my visitors reading this have probably experienced a situation similar to what I am about to reveal. Even as I write this, I think of my dear mother who passed away in 2003 with no one else's advice to rely on but the Doctor.

This is a brief story of what happened.

My mother was reasonably healthy;

never smoked; never drank alcohol but

was diagnosed as a diabetic in her late

forties.

Slightly overweight, she enjoyed the

odd 'naughty but nice' treat which gave

her great enjoyment, something which

I know we all partake in from time

to time.

However, to cut a long story short, in

her latter years she often complained

of stomach upsets; pains and cramps

which often made her quite sick. Being a

regular at her local doctor's surgery, they

knew of her aliments and would often prescribe pain-killers, check her sugar levels then send her on her way. After all, we believe every word our doctor tells us, right?

Requesting to be x-rayed and checked out thoroughly for a reason for her pains, was merely dismissed. After all, it was only the lady that complains too often. "If after one week the pain is still there, come back," said the doctor and we'll give you something stronger.

Her pain did go away slightly but only after her whole body had taken on a yellow tint, known I do believe as jaundice. An occurrence when the blood contains an excess of the pigment called bilirubin. When the liver's capacity is unable to remove it jaundice will develop.

Submitted to hospital almost immediately for 2-3 weeks, none the wiser of her condition, where she underwent several tests and still in the belief that a cure or remedy would be found. It was only when the doctors; specialists and consultants had asked her, along with the family to come to a special room.

Sitting down anxiously with my mum, wife and sister, my mother thought there was going to be a solution to her condition only to be told she had pancreatic cancer. It had spread so quickly to her liver and kidneys and there was not a single thing they could do to save her.

If I could describe that moment in my life with a single phrase, it would be: 'Total Devastation'.

Being allowed to come home the same day with more drugs than I'd ever seen in my lifetime, I wanted to make the remaining days of her life comfortable and as enjoyable as humanly possible. Her 68th birthday on February 28th was her last celebration with us. A time that myself and my family will treasure forever. Seven days later she was taken from us to rest in peace.

She was a very special lady, someone who would help others before helping herself. This website is dedicated to her and its mission is to inform visitors for an alternative to conventional drugs which as we all know, can more often than not, harm our internal well-being.

"Do We Really Believe Everything Our Doctor Tells Us?"
